Unwanted visitor.

I love my new garden. It is growing so fast and the salads and stuff are just lovely. I don't know if I can go back to the bought bags of salads ever again. I was having some problems. The leaves of my red beets and my spinach were disappearing, very strange since we live in the center of the village and with a train passing us closely every half hour.

So imagine my surprise when I looked outside and saw this:

Now I love bambi..but not in veg-patch. This time he was in the neighbors patch. I later talked to my neighbor about what I saw and he told me he chased him away during our stay at the cottage. But he seems to be a picky eater and since I was all out of spinach and beets he moved on...

The new garden

I just had my first thing to eat out of the garden:

I have been working on my garden. I have been planting things that have been pregrown inside put in a rose arch and rosebushes that will hopefully climb onto it. 

In the box in the front on the left I have herbs and on the right I have flowers but you can't see them jet. In the box behind these boxes on the left I have all kind of leaves likes salads, spinach and such. On the right sides I have carrots, beets, radish and those kind off vegetables. All the way at the back I have tomato's, cucumber, corn, beans and squash.

My new Garden

I have started working on my own little new garden. I have been planning and planning.... 2 weeks ago the last snow finally disappeared out of our garden. The plan is for high raised beds for vegetables, herbs and some flowers..

So after the planning and the buying the seeds earlier this spring I started growing my small seeds in the windowsills. This picture is taken the 29th of march and we had so much snow left...

Now they look nice and strong..

We found these things you put on pallets....old and kind off ugly

painted them in the same color as the house lined them with a linen to keep the weeds from coming from under them and so that the trees nearby won't take all the water....and this is the result.

The beds are almost 50 cm high so that is great for my back. Today I am getting my soil and hope that I will find some free hours this weekend to put some seeds in...
