This is my Dear Jane on my Design wall. I really liked working on it sometimes, but I didn't get anywhere anymore and my latest blocks looked really bad. So since I was so annoyed with it, I wanted to give it a rest for a while. So the blocks came down from the wall:
But not just my annoyance made me take the blocks down..but also...the SBS-quilt showed up on my radar. When I talked with Gerda she told me about the SBS-quilt, and I fell in love. Do you know the feeling when you see a quilt and you just love it..and can't wait to start and can't think of anything else...well that is me at the moment,...
The SBS-quilt is short for Sylvia's Bridal Sampler and is from the Elm Creek Novels from Jennifer Chiaverinni. The blocks are 6 inch finished.
I really like to hand piece, but the latest Dear Jane blocks I made where 4.5 inch and some 45 pieces in one block. This did put me a bit of the hand piecing. So now I am really looking forward to start a project with some bigger pieces... I can't wait..Maybe my Dear Jane blocks will look better when I do some more practicing on bigger blocks a while..*lol*
I am still working on the quilting of the diamonds quilt..who knows...maybe today it will be finished..
Hugs Barbara
