I am almost done with this pattern!
I chose beige backgrounds and autumn colors -- I am needleturn appliqueing each basket and handle -- and sewing the rows together as I go.

I've been needle turning one basket a night since I found the book - I'm up to 186 of them done...just a few more months and I'll be ready for the setting triangles!

So glad I found you...I've been working on these sweet baskets on and off for a few months now. I think I'm up to 30 something of them. It will be fun to sew along and get back on track!

Mooie mandjes!

Groetjes Martine

I have all of my fabrics pulled for this basket project. I really wanted it to be my summer fun, okay summer is here and so far, I haven't cut a thing. Thanks for the inspiration I am really ready to rock and roll now after seeing yours. FYI, love your colors, mine will be similar in looks, gotta love that mushy soft color palette.
good luck to you, and me, and whoever is not faint of heart to start this wonderful project.....Susan

The first time I saw this quilt in the book, I knew I had to make it. I've opted for the fall colors....have about 160ish made, as I am making a smaller version. I have started on the outside setting triangles. They are cut, I just need to glue and sew. I have a friend who finished the full sized quilt in February. Will send photos of my progess, if you would like to see them.

Hi Barbara,

Love the colors of your blocks! Hope you have fun making them. Have you figured out how long the quilt will take you at a block every other day?

I linked your site in my blog post today!
Love your blog!

I can imagine these baskets getting you addicted. They are so cute and the quilt is adorable. Maybe I start doing some myself, if I can find the pattern.

Je mandjes zien er gaaf uit Barbara, echt heel mooi. Ik doe niet met je mee, ik ga eerst de quilt Diamonds in Diamonds afmaken waarvoor ik een worhshop bij je gevolgd heb. Groetjes Dorien
