updating a dress for new years eve

I had this dress with a wonderfull fit..but...the sleeves where terrible:

Horrible sleeves right?

So I took it apart and changed the sleeves and the fit just a bit:

Much better now...so new years eve...here I come...

Building houses bee

You might have heard about Jeanneke's Building houses project 2012.

I loved it. Jeanneke and others will be making one a day for 2012.  I don't think I will make 365 but I would to make some. I organised a bee for some of my friends and we started making a try-out block.

This is mine! The blocks are 7,5 x 7,5 cm and I think I will be doing a quilt as you go method to put them together.

We ate some cookies and drank some tea before we got started,.. As you can see on the table I gave away small scrap-bags and we are thinking about doing a small swap later this spring.

we had a wonderful time!

Wrapping

Tonight I finished wrapping the final gifts. I love wrapping gifts. When I was little girl I dreamed about having a wrapping service as a company as an adult:-)
But I still love spending some extra time making every gift look nice. This is paper and labels from tilda.

A block

I am at a game of dh floorball with Molly.. In the middle of our Christmas shopping.. And I finished a block here while watching.. Every minute counts when you have a little one!

Pink and Barbara Christmas Party

We had wonderful tim at Villa Vanilla for my Christmas Party. The whole shop was decorated in a christmas theme so the pillow from Soed Idee looked wonderful there. The christmas music was playing and there was a real christmas spirit

There was quite a big group of people..some of them did a lot of christmas and clothes shopping as well at Villa Vanilla :-)

We drank some glögg (red spiced wine) and at some ginger cookies to start with. Tuula made some traditional porridge and ham sandwiches as well:

Maybe you can join us next time. Thank you all who came and Merry Christmas! I am taking a bit of a blogging Holiday since I am preparing things for the syfestival in February which is going to be a first for Pink and Barbara...lots to do!

 

 

The weather

a new quilt for Molly

I made this new supersoft quilt for Molly out of Shannon Fabrics Cuddle Cube. It is so soft..she is playing and cuddling with it all day long! It was also so fast and easy to sew...always nice!
