Last weekend was the Midsummer celebrations. Molly celebrated it at her daycare where they made a small pole. For their lunch they had the traditional dinner with the meatballs, fish and fresh potatoes and of-course ice-cream with strawberries after:-)
I must say that I was not a big fan of sending molly so early to daycare. But the teachers there are so wonderful. I don't know how the manage to do everything. They are outside all day and play with them. Often they go to the forest for the day and they have this cart they can pull with a grill on it so then the kids get to cook on that making things like hot-dogs and so on. They even have big projects where the kids get to discover things. Last week it was all about how water and how it can make things move like it can make a waterwheel turn. Molly does this big cheer every time we park the car and she knows she gets to spent the day at daycare. It is the reason that I felt I could open the shop now that I got this opportunity..without them I wouldn't be able too. I know that she is taken care of and that the teachers are awesome!
They are always outside..rain or shine
And I actually think molly loves it even better if it does rain:
I took this picture when I came to pick her up one day. As you can see everybody is eating their snacks under the small roof. The teachers are calling her to have something to eat..but she is lying in the rain...:-)
They have this big playing field where they have swings and stuff...but also rocks and trees they can "climb"
And everyday we have to do her hair so she can play all day and even sleep on it...
This is what she looks like when she wakes up every morning and can't see a thing...poor girl :
Do all 1,5 year olds have so much hair???
Last week we had a storm (the kids were inside that day:-) ) So we didn't have electricity for the whole day. You don't realize how much you use power for everything until it isn't working, cooking, light, hot water, entertainment, computers everything....Supermarkets where closed...the freezer started to defrost...what a day!
Hope you are having better weather:-)
I remember my reservations when Esther went, just for two days a week. Until I discovered she was dancing every day she could go to play with the other kids...
