thimbles and baskets

Here is a picture of my thimble box:

I made 2 dividers inside for my thimbles...

So now it is nice and portable... I am still looking for people who want to swap pink and brown fabrics with me. I need 2x2 inch squares. I will send you the same amount of fabrics back and the thimle template. send me an email at: [email protected]

Oh no...it is a podcast....

So I tested to make a video-podcast... it was a lot of fun...I never had so many giggle attacks..*s*..you feel like a complete idiot but after a while it went ok..

The first 20 seconds are grey and I don't know why..but it is normal again after 20 seconds so hold on! I will try to inprove some things like sound and light untill next time..but as said..it is just a test.

New Baskets!

Hi!

I have made some new baskets for the Trick and Treat quilt I am making. You can see all the baskets in the photo album called baskets!

This is what is looked like:

So I added 15 and it starting to look nice. I don't know why the pictures are so bad...sorry..

My baskets...

Hi!

I have been such a bad list-mommy but I have been working a bit on my baskets. I really enjoy them and I even got my aunt to start a quilt with them after her visit to our little cabin.

Here is an update of the basket wall.

So the wall is growing...

Now I am just thinking about the following:

Should I start putting the blocks together or not, there are some + and - with both. 

+ I don't have to put 200 blocks together at the end which I think will be boring...

- I can't play with the colors the same way that I can't when all the blocks are done...

what do you think? Let me know!

( De vraag is...zal ik nu al beginnen met het aan elkaar zetten van de blokken? + dan hoef ik aan het einde niet 200 blokken aan elkaar te zetten...- Ik kan dan niet echt met de kleuren spelen...wat vind jij?)

Vacation time!

I can't wait until tomorrow .... we are going on vacation to our Cottage!

I have prepared more then 40 baskets blocks and I am going to continue on my Laminaria...

I am so looking forward to it...so see you in a few weeks again!

Baskets....

My baskets are waiting in this nice pile for me to add more baskets. At the moment I am making a new quilt for a Pink and Barbara pattern that will also be a new class this Autumn. This is also applique so the baskets just need to wait a bit. The plan is to finish the top of the new quilt before I go on Holiday and then I can take my baskets with me...can't wait ...I miss them...

Baskets....

It has been busy here the last week. I have 3 new bag patterns that will be coming out soon. The classes all booked for the fall. There is a new website coming and some new packaging for the Pink and Barbara Patterns. So loads of new things coming soon...

Baskets weekend ...

This weekend I transformed this old basket into a sewing basket for my baskets..isn't it cute?

It has room for everything on the inside...perfect!

I have also been working on my baskets and I have 16 of them now.

I actually have 17 blocks now but one got rejected. It was to messy and to little contrast. But how knows...it might end up in the quilt later anyway.

Baskets...baskets...baskets....

Some of you have already seen my new quilt I am working on. I was working on it in the booth at Velthoven in between the waves of customers. I am so addicted! I am making the baskets in my scraps, so they will probably be pink and blue..*s*

The baskets are from the book When the cold wind blows by Blackbird Designs. I have seen a lot of other people who are making them as well. I have started a webring you can join if you are making the baskets as well. Here you can read about it.

I will try to make a block every other day. I don't know how big I am making the quilt I think until I fall out of love with it...which will take a while...

Maybe you will join me in making these and the ring as well!
