Hi!
We have had a snowstorm this weekend so I have been at home the whole weekend and did just crafty stuff.
On Friday I went into town because I had some quilting books spiral binded. Some quilting books you just use so much and to be able to draw all the patterns you sometimes you need to really "crack" the binding to get into the center. So as a result some of my books were falling apart. But they look great now..
I was reading one of my favorite blogs Supergoof and saw that she was putting pieces of the fabric she used in her Dear Jane in her Dear Jane book. On the Dear Jane software there is an option to print out pages were you can journal and write about each block. I was doing that, but noticed that I always was behind on the journaling and glueing in things because it just was a bit to much work. So when I saw this idea I loved it. Now that I have spiral binded my Dear Jane book that just works great. So yesterday evening I spent some time on glueing the fabric pieces in and writing the journaling from the loose pages I had collected. This is what it looks like now.
I also managed to make some blocks last night and some nights before. The blocks that have crosses in the middle are really hard to get straight but I think I will leave them the way the are.
Last year me and some of my friends had a Crazy Quilt swap. You made your own Crazy Quilt, so you could choose the colors and size, and the others would just decorate it with stitches, beads and so on. I really love what I got back. I have framed to keep it from getting to dusty/dirty since I can't wash it because of all the beads and things...
Yesterday I did some work on 2 bags, so that is what I will finish today hopefully..
Hugs,
Barbara
