Hi!

I am giving classes at Quilt it & Dotty in November.

The easy tote:
This is the Easy-tote is going to be on Thursday night the 20th of November. It is an easy constructed tote that is great to have a craft basket.

The diamond-quilt
This class is where your learn the basics of hand piecing but most of all you'll learn the basics of how to make your own designs and make it work. This method will always give you great patterns that will always fit. The class is on Saturday the 22nd of November.

Diamonds Quilt Finished!

My Diamonds Quilt is finished. I am so happy!  I have been working on it for some time now. With big pauses in between, but really enjoyed making it. It is pieced and quilted by hand.The fabric series is from Moda and called Wuthering Heights. The batting is 100% wool. I quilted it in straight lines so there are new diamonds of the quilting in the diamonds that are pieced.  Some pieces are quilted differently:

I also teach this class (hand piecing and pattern making). I usually just had the top with me so I could show the hand piecing better on the backside. But now it is quilted and finished. I washed it yesterday, so finally it is dry, and I can embroider my name and date on the back. I am going to teach this class next weekend, so I am happy it is finished 3 days before the dead-line..that doesn't always happen. It has happend that the binding was sewn on a quilt during the carride to the person who was recieving a quilt..*lol*.

SBS

Yesterday I selected my pieces to start my SBS-quilt. My cousin Andrea is coming next week to Sweden and she is going to go my favorite quilt-shop Petra Prins. So I send her pieces of the fabric I have selected and she will buy me some more to get a bigger collection. Because I would love to use as many different fabrics as possible.

my little corner

This is my little corner where I usually sit and do my quilting and sewing and knitting and so on. It really is my little place to sit and calm down and I love it..

I am spoiling myself tonight with a good cup of tea and some quilting and a piece of fine chocolate.

This quilt is my Diamonds quilt. I give lessons in hand piecing with this quilt. I took the top with me last times. I started quilting it and got half way trough ( or 70% as my DH calculated) and stopped for a while and the little while got longer and longer. Then my MIL called and wanted  me to give the class for some of her friends ...next weekend. Next weekend...aghrrrrrrrh ..so now I am back to quilting in a bit of a panic to get it finished on time, cause it doesn't look pretty right now, it has strange borders on the sides to make it fit better in the hoop and frame. So anyway..back to the quilting...
